Pastor’s Corner |
You have been busily at work raising moneys needed to pay for the fuel and some of the necessary repairs that must be done before this winter. Your team effort has given us much needed financial help. Thrivent for Lutherans has matched those efforts with $1300.00.and for this we are grateful.As we look toward the Fall, I would like to offer two suggestions to you:
1, Plan on having an after school Christian Education program one day a week. We will need three people who are available from app 3-5pm and are willing to teach. In addition it would be great if we had someone with musical talent to help the children learn songs. Confirmation would also be taught at this time freeing up Sunday mornings for Adult classes. These programs would be advertised and open to our neighbors.
2. Plan on a monthly event open to the community such as a game night, light supper event or, if we can get a larger TV and DVD player—movie night. Again we would need volunteers willing to take turns implementing these events. God has richly blessed our congregation over these past 145 years. He will continue to bless us as we reach out and share the good news of Jesus the Christ within our changing community. Get excited about the future and join in the mission of Christ Lutheran Church.
