NEW ORDER FOR WORSHIP SETTINGS |
A desire has been expressed that our worship settings be of a more contemporary nature. As a result, Immanuel and Adullam will adopt the following pattern for our Sunday worship services starting in November:1st Sunday of each month -- With One Voice service with Holy Communion. 2nd Sunday of each month -- Contemporary service from Changing Church. 3rd Sunday of each month -- With One Voice service with Holy Communion. 4th Sunday of each month -- Contemporary service from Changing Church. Luther League will lead service at Immanuel. 5th Sunday of each month (when there is one) -- Contemporary service from Changing Church. Also, an effort is being made to gain copyright permission for incorporating new hymns and songs into our worship services. We'll still keep some of what's in the LBW and the WOV Hymnals, but we'll try to work in some contemporary ones, too. As we adopt this new format, keep in mind that it isn't set in stone, and if we want to change it in the future, we can do so. Let's try this and see what kind of response it draws. Let your council or worship and music committee members know if there is something in particular you like or dislike, or if there is something you would like to see added.
