From the Bishop

            As a part of Michael Schwarte's preparation for ordination in the ELCA, Bishop Michael Keys has requested that he preach once monthly at Petersburg Lutheran Church.

            His first Sunday will be September 21st while Pastor Al is attending the  SE Cluster Meetings.

Kake Clothing Drive is Going Strong

September 1st - 15th

Petersburg Lutheran and the Presbyterian Church are gathering clothes for the school-age children of Kake. Donations may be brought to the churches. At PLC, boxes are located at the church Treasurer's office and in the Fellowship Hall.

 

We have had good news ~ AML is shipping all of the goods we gather for free!

Dibs & Dabs

We are packing up the VBS soccer balls for Africa and would like those that went out to homes to be returned by September 21st. You can drop them off in the Fellowship Hall or in the office. Thanks!

Anyone who would like to submit something to be published in the Beacon Newsletter should have your information at the office by Tues, Sept. 16th.
