Church Treasurer's Report

It is important when purchases are made for the church that the original sales slip be submitted to the treasurer. The treasurer needs to know what the purchase was and what it was intended for so that the proper fund is noted. Thanks for helping with this!

Church Council News

The Council is seeking members to fill the remainder of two terms which end in January. If interested, call the office 772-3144

Power Lab Soccer Balls

The soccer balls have arrived and are ready to be signed and decorated. If you ordered a soccer ball(s) please pick it up after church in the Fellowship Hall.  We will have some permanent markers available for you to use if you chose to decorate here, otherwise take it home. They can be returned to the office. After they have been signed and decorated they'll be sent to Africa for distribution. We are hoping to do this by the end of August.

Last Call for VBS in Kake…

Want to join a Vacation Bible School team on board the M/V Christian during the week of Aug. 17th in Kake? We have a team of four (Pete & Carol Beckett, Sally Riemer, and Susan Christensen) but there's still room for a couple more!  Let us know in the office.

Hum…Senior Moments?

Yep, he's done it again and nope, it's not his glasses this time!

Keep your eye out for Pastor Al's favorite wool Filson baseball cap.  It is dark green with a small logo (the word Filson) on the side.  Could he have left it at your home?

Baby Update:

Grandpa Al's ninth grandchild has postponed her entry into our world for 2 more weeks. She needs a bit more growing time with mom.

Tracey and Sandy Reid are in Juneau this weekend awaiting the birth of their grandchild. As of this writing (Thursday) nothing had happened. Sarah and her mom, Linda Caulum, flew up together.  They are staying with Laura Compton, a former PLC member.

Annie Chalmers has been very active ~ 7 mile bike rides, daily swimming and walks. Does that mean it will be sooner or later than August 11th? The McCabe's and Swanson's are waiting for the phone call from Cashmere, WA.
