Tips to Make the Most of Your Site

• Share timely and relevant information – keep things fresh & up-to-date!
  • The great things being done in the community
  • Exciting events or activities at your partner congregations or non-profits
  • Thrivent Choice deadlines or voting events
• Make your site visually appealing
  • Change the layout of your postings: on some stories put the photo on the left and text on the right, on others; switch it up, with text on the left and a photo on the right.
• Make the management of your site as stress-free as possible
  • Add automatic news feeds
  • Develop editorial calendar with news, stories or information you will include each month or quarter
  • Divide and conquer: split up the management of the site between several board members, when possible. However, make sure you have defined roles and responsibilities to avoid added confusion.
• Promotion, promotion, promotion!
  • Post your events and activities on thrivent.com (FAENY or Member Events)
  • Promote your website at your events and in your newsletters
