 Political "Good"

Yes, after reaping as much "political good" as they can from it, they will approve the budget.

(Read that "political good" to mean much complaining, nay-saying, and Bush bashing.) Such bluster is the equilivent to political money. Each side works dilligently to "earn more" than their opponent earns (one of the disadvantages in a free market) .... and we, the customers, are dumb enough and gullible enough to confuse their counterfeit "money" with the real thing.)
