Eggs

I saw colored Easter eggs in the store yesterday for $3.00 a dozen. Maybe I better start coloring them again and selling them! I always hated the chore of coloring and that was one project my hubby did every year with the kids, they all loved it. Hallejuah! Easter is my favorite holiday, even over Christmas. The Christian message does not get lost in eggs and rabbits like it does in all the clutter of the Christmas season.

Easter Eggs

Talking about Easter eggs reminds me of the time when my mom called my brothers and I to take part in an egg hunt. We were all of college age and felt this was too low for us so we politely said no. Then with a gleam in her eye she said, "Well, I've already hidden the eggs and I put bills in some of the plastic eggs, so maybe you will take part in the egg hunt!!" And by golly, we did! So, if you want an egg hunt with college-age family members, always try the money eggs! Cubs in '07 - who needs Woods and Prior!

Colors...

When I was a child, we used to be able to get the Paas coloring kits and get extremely deep purples, blues and reds. Today, it seems the best we can do is pastel.

I have a friend who does the really intricate Ukranian style decorating. She uses rubber bands around the egg to help lay out her designs.
