Easter Sunday
As a choir member I am at church from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Many
people I talk to can't imagine doing such a thing. I've done it for many
years and can't imagine Easter any other way! The sunrise service, the
traditional service, the contemporary service all have special meaning
as we celebrate our Risen Lord. He is risen! He is risen indeed!
Hallelujah!

Saturday Easter Vigil
Saturday Easter vigil is spiritually uplifting. Try it once and you'll
be doing it every year.

Holly Week
I try and attend All Holly week services. He died on the cross for us
the least we can do is go to Church. I am looking into coverting to the
lutheran church. so far I have found the church to be full friendly
people living the way God wants us to.

Holy Week
I really love this time of the church year...since everything from Ash
Wednesday through Easter Sunday is all of one piece, I have trouble
understanding how someone could attend only one or two of the services
during Holy Week. It's like only watching select scenes of a good
classic movie, or reading only one or two scattered chapters of a good
book--you might enjoy them, but you probably won't catch onto the plot
or character developments! And since Holy Week is a unit all its own
within Lent, surely we could take time out of our busyness and slow down
to "ponder on [His] holy Passion"...couldn't we? After all, this is
what has redeemed us.

Maundy Thursday
Shar-my thoughts exactly as I came home from service. This service
always moves me when we strip the altar and the lights go out.

Easter services
As I came home from church this evening (Maundy Thursday) I could not
help but think our blessed we are as Lutherans that we have the
opportunity each and ever year to mourn Christ's death and then to
celebrate His Resurrection. To some, it seems like a lot of service,
but to me it is a blessing.

Sunrise Service vs. the late service.
Sunrise services are great, but I prefer to go to the regular 9 a.m.
service. At my church, we have a number of organists, so I volunteer to
play for only the second service. Each of the services is different
anyway. At least I am no longer too tired to enjoy Resurrection Sunday
now. I am not a morning person. :)
