Volunteering

My life has been filled with many blessings. It is only natural that one should give back. I volunteered at a local food pantry for three years. After moving, I worked for the Missouri Wildlife Rescue Center. Although the work at the rescue center was rewarding, I felt it more important to help people in need.
I have been with another food pantry for the past ten years. As an Intake Worker, interviewing the clients we help, you hear sad stories and know how really blessed you are.

Volunteering has become such a huge part of my walk with Christ. I find that the more I grow spiritually the closer the walk becomes.

You didn't have a 3-4 times a year option, I volunteer in clumps, a week or two in the summer, the month of Sept and Oct.

My Church has done so much for the community. Now that ihave more time I hope to volunteer more. I am looking into joining the Lutheran church after forty two years of being Catholic. The truth is coming to light.

If we are members of a church and in good health, I am sure we find ourselves volunteering, if not daily, more than once a week! I also work weekly for our local food and clothing bank.

We enjoy sharing our gifts, however large or small with others. It's our opportunity to give a portions of the gifts that we have been given whether it be in volunteer hours or monetary gifts whichever is required.
