Devotions

Luther Seminary has a wonderful daily devotion that is sent to my inbox each day via email. It is based on the revised common lectionary. What's cool about it is that my men's breakfast each Friday reads and discusses the readings for the coming Sunday, and I gain added understanding through the week's worth of devotions on the same subjects.

Though not aligned with the lectionary, also recommended is the daily devotional "Verse and Voice", sent by Sojourners.

Devotionals

A great devotional is For All the Saints from American Lutheran Publicity Bureau. It has 3 readings and prayers from the daily lectionary and a thought by a Christian writer that fits with the Bible text
Also included is the catchecism, andprayer services, like Matins Vespers and Compline

Another idea is to use yiour church bodies hymn and service book as a devotional.

Daily Devotions

My trouble with our little devotion book is that those little stories are so doggone interesting that I end up reading the entire book in one afternoon!
For my "real" devotions, I use the Bible and sometimes one or both of Luther's Catechisms.
