Father's Day

My father passed away in September, 1999. I miss him dearly. It is difficult, as the others posted, to see cards in the card shop to Dads, and those addressed to both parents. I remember the first time buying a card for my mother only, instead of to "both." I stood there and cried. I love both my parents dearly, but now that Dad is gone, these days are sad, yet joyful to know that he is in heaven with our Savior.

I also remember when my father-in-law passed away a few weeks after his birthday in 1992, and my mother-in-law gave us the Docker slacks back to return to the store. That was a sad moment, too.

Father's Day

It would be great if my dad were still around. I'd like him to see that I have continued my positive directions and have overcome hardships I never expected to endure.

I was unable to go to card shops for a long time after he died. It was especially difficult to see cards near his birthday and also Father's Day.

I miss you, Leevi W. S.

Fathers Day

My father passed away in 1999. I used to look forward to the Day but now it slips by without notice. I hope that those of you who still have their fathers with them make a special day of it. They work hard many for a lot of years to provide for us even longer than they should. DAds are taken for granted at times. We expect them to be there when we need them. Then one day they are gone .
