Time and money
Thanks Shar I will check that out. Also I should look into the many
things my Lutheran Church does.

Volunteering
Dan, a couple of hours once a month at the local food kitchen doesn't
take too much of your time and you will be amazed at how you will be
blessed by the activity.

volunteering
When we had 4 children to raise and the money was tied, I always helped
out in church, school, or serving in the Food kitchen. My favorite
volunteering to help to feed about 250 homeless people.Took the kids
with me, they helped too.
When there was more time and money, I gave money too, but I am only
giving money to causes where I know the money will be used in a
responsible way. No telephone pledges. Lutheran World Relief is an
excellent place to help out.
Right now, I am helping my neighborhood school out to shredd papers, so
the secretaries can do something more important. Some one has to do it.

Have a blessed weekend

Both, with a definite goal
I don't have much money either, but I find it easy to be generous if
there is a definite goal--like, if they ask for a special offering for
someone's utilities or for a new water heater for the basement or for
help in a disaster (whether nearby or far away). It's more difficult
when I don't know exactly how the money is being used, but if there are
regular updates, it's easier.
Time is dicey, because with a full-time job and no car, I have to plan
everything out; but the things I can do, I do, and I know I'm making a
difference.
