oops

Sorry Virgil I understand I guess I did take that the wrong way Maybe After more years of being on this earth I can learn the lessons you have. A lot of things in life are missed because of the wrong translation It is sad that we only have one shot at this and that we learn what really was sometimes after the game is over. But God has been there thru it all and he knew all along.

??????

Dan, you took me wrong, I know my comment was vague about what I meant. I should have waited until I had more time and could go into more detail.

My comment was in ag4reement with your throught about wanting to see more questions
about Christian issues. I really wanted the scripture about "talk you of all His wounderous works";didn't take the necessary time to look it up in my Strongs.

In my 70 years around Lutheran gathering; 40-45 as a devout dyed in the wool Luth. the last 30 less contact but still social gethering. I can not recall a single instance of hearing someone tell about a mitacle, etc. Well the H S reminded me of one instance at a private Sun. dinner many many years ago. On the other hand at social gethering of A of G Word of Faith etc it is a different story.

I hope that this explimation clears up what I was attempting to say. Sorry you took it the way you did Dan.

Waffles or pancakes

Well, waffles would be my favorite. I just like the taste better. However, my question is, has anyone ever had a waffle iron that did stick after awhile and eventually you just couldn't get it clean any longer? Even the ones with teflon coating. That's my complaint against waffle irons; eventually you overfill one and it's history.

Virgil I did read Deut. I am not sure what in my two postings caused you to single me out. Maybe it was just my turn. Based on some of you past comments It seems you have something against the lutheran faith. Oh sure you can point out where the bible says this or that and then point your finger a group a or group b. But then when you point your finger you have three pointing back at you. Do not comment on the splinter in my eye.............

Church Food

Pere,

Out here we see men in the kitchen, and it doesn't necessarily have to be a 'special' time. That's because some of the men are better cooks than some of the women. Food's the game, and best not mess with a Lutheran's food!

As far as things battery for the morning, I like 'em both, but you can do more things with pancakes, and you don't have to have an iron to make 'em either.

Food is good, too...

Dan, I agree that more theological questions would be nice...but in my Lutheran experience so far, I've discovered that many Lutherans consider food synonymous with fellowship. Just watch and listen at a Lutheran carry-in dinner..."Ooh! Where was -that- in the line?" "Who made this terrific dessert?" "Is this your grandmother's strudel recipe?" "Well, my secret ingredient is..."
That's the -women-, mind you. The men are busy chowing down, except at the Men's Club Easter pancake breakfast, when they wear aprons and not only cook for the rest of us, but -also- do all the clean-up and dishes! YAY, MEN!
P.S. I like pancakes better because you can make them as thin as you like, so you can roll your favorite topping into them and eat...not possible with waffles.
