KJV - Bible versions

As a Traditionalist, and a product of Lutheran elementary, secondary, and higher education schooling, I started early in the 40's memorizing Bible passages using the King James Version. It is still my favorite. I do enjoy reading the paraphrased version The Message.
I have found the website biblegateway.com to be wonderful for on-line Bible study and devotions. Great to be able to compare passages by selecting from the different versions available.
Keeping in His Word.

Just like the mannual for your Car. They both have a trouble sooter guide if You know whats wrong you can find the answer in the bible.

which Bible?

I prefer the NASB for word-for-word translation using modern English (the only exception is that God is always addressed by "Thee" and "Thou"), but I do love the poetry of the KJV. For the best of both worlds, I use NKJV; and for a decent thought-for-thought translation, NIV works. Of course, I also have a Vine's and a Strong's nearby to check on any word I have doubts about!

Which Bible Version?

As a kid, I memorized so many Bible verses in Revised Standard that it is still very comfortable to hear them that way...but I use the NIV for studies.

What Bible translation

I have used the New American Standard Bible, NASB, for years and I love it. But I recently purchased NKJV Study Bible which I really like. The only problem is 20 years of notes and underlining in the NASB which I will surely miss. It will be interesting to see if I make the NKJV my regular Bible or not.

I do enjoy looking up things in various translations.
