Mexican Food

We're blessed with a multitude of ethnic restaurants in these parts, and Mexican cuisine certainly isn't left out. There's a great difference between Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican, or even Central American, food. I enjoy eating places like Chevy's sometimes, just for the ambiance and variety, but I like the real thing even more.

There's a little tacqueria that also operates several commissary trucks, those "taco wagons" that go out to where the Hispanics work and live. Started going there because of an Entertainment coupon! They let me sample some of all the meats that they regularly use, including goat! Very good, simmered in a rich red sauce... mmmm.

But, by far, the most satisfying is a Mexican chicken soup when I have a nasty cold. Its just what the doctor ordered! Rich broth, lean chicken, plenty of vegetables, and enough spice to clear up my sinuses! Beats the heck out of Campbells!

I like Mexican food. In Kalispell we have the best Mexican resturant around. Real Mexican food not the american version of it.

Mexcicon food

Just seeing the sign makes me sick. I went in to one the other day, for a retirement party, and I ate a taco with salad. I ate the salad , but all the other makes me sick to my stomach. What's wrong with me?
Marguarita's ? ? brr. Shar, that makes me even sicker. Give me a glass of Mosel wine, that;s the ticket for me.

Have a reat weekend.

Mexican food...

I really love all Mexican food, especially from the provinces that use the -hot- stuff! But my favorite is a Chile Relleno--a poblano chile stuffed with cheeses and either baked or rolled in masa and flash-fried, then covered with red sauce and served with a side of beans and rice. Guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo are also nice toppings for a C. R.
Yummy!

mex food

Just had chicken flautas the other day at an authentic Mexican restaurant, must say that is my new favorite. It's like an enchilada but the shell is a deep-fried corn tortilla, delicious!! I guess similar to a chimichanga. Mexican food is all pretty similar though, so I must say it is ALL good!

I don't see a category for margueritas.
