good days

I agree that the question is a very poor choice for a Christian website.

This is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. Usually the first think I say when I wake up is Good Morning to each of the Trinty and then "Thank You for another day of life" When one reaches the later years in life this becomes much more
important althrough it should always be so.

I would like to write a lot more, but I am eating my evening meal at 9:15 after a long day on the job, which I love and am Thankful for

Days

I now have come to realize that any day we have is a great day. We never know when it could be our last. In the last two years I have met some great people and lost some great people in my life. Any day and everday is just what you make it. Just live everyday do not fret about yesterday because it has past. We can learn from yesterday and hope for tomorrow. Tomorrow is just a continuation of today unless we change something to make it differnt. So spend today living like you want to tomorrow

bad days

It's all very well to be "religious" about how we're feeling on any given day; but I believe that God would rather me be honest rather than religious. Are we not told to "weep with those who weep"? And then there's the verse from Proverbs: "Like one who takes off a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar on soda, is he who sings songs to a troubled heart." (Prov. 25:20) Which means, if someone tries to be too cheery around someone who is sad (or having a bad day), it will not only prove unhelpful, but also that cheery person might get his head bitten off!
A person might regard a day as bad for any number of reasons: it might be the day of the week that a loved one died, or it might be a scheduled painful medical procedure, or it might just be the plain ol' blues. Moreover, the idea of "worst" may mean different things to different people--for me, Tuesday is my "worst" day because it's the first day back to work, and I always have a bit of trouble getting back into "work gear." Nothing catastrophic, really. The rest of the week is generally a breeze by comparison.
At any rate, I won't judge either Thrivent for posting this question or any person who answered it. I'll just pray for you on your "worst day," OK??

bad days

But didn't God give us all the days of the week? If we can't say Sunday is a bad day (for whatever reason in your life) then how can we say any day is bad?

umm....

Did anyone else find this poll to be highly questionable on a Christian-based website? Goodness...to rate a day that God gave us as being "the worst" is rather incredible. I'm feeling a bit confused and certainly alarmed...
