Desk/manual labor
I think that the question, as all of the questions in this poll, was
meant for entertainment and not to cause any arguments. It was
impossible to give a complete answer as neither job is better or worse
than any other, but is, instead, the work you have been given to fulfill
your spiritual need to "do all to the glory of God".
I am very sorry that AJ felt he was disrespected and lacked monetary
fulfillment as a manual laborer. It is sad that so many people find that
only the wealthy (successful?) are worthy of respect. God loves all and
I, myself, am truly grateful to those who clean out septic tanks, scale
gurders high in the air, paint bridges, wait tables, and do all those
other chores that are so necessary and I am certainly extremely unsuited
to do!!
God Bless all workers!!!

Don't misread the comments
My own comment was that the question was poorly worded (not "dumb"). I
think they didn't frame the question to ask what they actually meant to
ask. (No, I'm not a mind-reader. I'm guessing here.) Even if I go stark
raving mad on Mondays and lash out uncontrollably at people, Josh, a
poorly-worded question is still exactly that.
There IS no accurate answer provided within the choices of "yes" and
"no" - not as worded. That's all I'm saying. Their asking about the
topic is great and it can be fun to discuss. I merely quarrel with the
wording of it.
Many people have opinions about these two categories of work. Is one
better? No. So why ask *specifically* that? Why not ask the questions I
suggested? Our preferences, training, and experiences are going to drive
our answers anyhow, so why not ask about them instead?

dumb? really?
Because this is a question of opinion it's a dumb question? Aren't all
of the polls here just a matter of opinion? It must not be dumb enough
to just walk away and not answer it.
I have worked both manual labor and a desk job. They both have their
advantages and disadvantages. At this point in my life, I am getting
much more out of my desk job. The biggest drawback is the lack of
physical movement I get. But what it lacks in physical nature, is made
up for in the respect from the people I work with and the compensation
(both monetary and spiritual).

jobs
Good point Josh.
I just had two of the best office ladies leave for the season I hope
they return in the spring. It has taken 18 years to find them. I just
hope they return. God puts people in our lives at certain times, I know
he has more planed and more people for us to meet .

Poorly worded question.
Why not ask "Which better describes your job?" or "Which would you
prefer to do?".
As worded, neither answer is correct.

Manual Labor
I would much rather be up and about rather than sitting in a desk all
day.

Which is better?
It's pretty much a dumb question. We need doctors and we need
construction workers. It's pretty much an individual's personal
preference as to which he chooses for his livelihood.

Which one???
While manual labor is certainly better for you physically, there are
times when the desk job is necessary, too...someone has to balance
books, draw up contracts, and check inventory.
I don't think this question was very well worded. Trying to separate the
"brain" work from the "brawn" work isn't really possible, and asking
which is better is like asking which of your feet is better, the left
one or the right! The real answer is that both manual and desk labor
are necessary, and that each has its place. For better physical health,
desk workers should do some manual labor; and to sharpen the brain, the
manual workers should learn some desk skills!

Desk/Office vs. Manual Labor Jobs
In this time of epidemic obesity, manual labor would be better. It's
been the "job of choice or no-choice" since the time of Adam and Eve,
and I've never seen an artist's depiction of them as obese.
