Decided to add my comments to this subject
I have the smallest "package" that Dish Network offers and I carefully pick what I watch. This package has 4 Christian Channels
Day star and Angel One are by far the best next TBN and I never watch EWTN There are excellent Christian programs on these and of course ones I don't recomend.

RFDTV has entirtaining and educational programs and is becoming avabilty on cable systems. Ocasssional the Halmark channel has a real good movie. And of course the only News channel worthy of the attention of a true American. FOX NEWS!!!!!

Writers Strike

Rarely watch anything but the news, a few game shows and sports. The filth on TV isn't worth my time. So I could care less about the writers.

TV habits

Other than local and some national news, I plan to wean myself from sitting in front of the TV.

Troudy-
You said that you "have a dish." I just want you to know that you ARE a dish!!! Especially in the pink boa photo. :-)

TV

Yeah, what Sara said.

When I do watch TV, it might be the news (not FOX, except the local affiliate), or PBS, or sometimes Letterman. I should be asleep by then, anyway, so it won't hurt me.

Rarely do I actually watch any other shows. When my son is with me, we'll watch movies he's borrowed from the library.

TV

I don't think the shows that I usually watch will be affected at all. None of the answers really fit, so I put "I don't watch tv" since I don't watch it all that often.

Writer's Strike

How many writers does it take to put together "reality tv"? The writer's strike won't bother me a bit but my husband will still want it on so he'll watch the reruns for the commercials!
And,yes, the old shows were better and "I Love Lucy" always makes the top of the "funniest ever" episode list..."New Life of Old Christine" was so vulgar the first episode, I never watched another one. Between gore and sexual enuendo, tv is the pits!

TV writers strike

Does not bother me a bit. Reruns ., from 20 + years ago, are better as the vulgar stuff they are writing now. I love the old sow, " Leave it to Beaver. " Cute at that time, refreshing now, even if the Beaver is 55 years old now. :)

I am watching more the news, PPS, Concerts , and of course the German news and International programs. I have a dish.

Have a blessed weekend.
