Favorite Gift

I loved all of my gifts. But there was one gift I could hardly wait to open. In January of this year I visited my sister in Texas. We went to the mall and I found a picture that I loved. It is a sunset picture over water, its the kind of picture that you can turn on and the water moves and you hear the sound of the waves. My sister bought it for me when we saw it, but she said it would be my Christmas present and she kept it until Christmas! I couldn't wait to open it and hang it up. :-)

weird gifts

It always seems impolite to re-gift weird presents (like the chia pet one of my sisters gave me last year), so I just stow them in a closet until some sort of inspiration hits me about what to do with them. Then too, sometimes weird gifts "age" into appealing ones as your tastes and perceptions change.
Of course, if anyone tells me they really like and want one of my weird gifts, I will definitely pass it along! ;)

One of the gifts that I am most looking forward to using is a season pass to the IMAX theatre at World Golf Village. They have some excellent programs and the membership also includes a visit to the World Golf Hall of Fame and other goodies.

Other...

Only one present this year was not useful. My wife and I have both been on low-sugar, low-starch diets since 2003, but someone in my family thought that a Panini Grill would be a good present for us! It will be regifted for a birthday very soon...
