Euro Games

A group of my friends get together every other Friday to play a variety of board games, mostly importted from Europe. Unlike many American games, these games are very good family games, since the rules are usually easy enough for fairly young players, but the decision making skills are engaging for adults.

I'd have to say that my favorite changes, since I get several new games each year, but the Ticket to Ride series and Thurn and Taxis are probably at the top of my favorites lists at this time.

I'm glad others have mentioned Apples to Apples, since it has many of the features of the Euro-style games - good family play, simple rules, player interaction, and even when you're not doing well, it's enjoyable!

Trivial Pursuit

There are three versions I love most of all - Genus Edition, 20th Anniversary, and Book Lovers Edition. :)

board games

What a timely topic later this Month My Lutheran Church is having tne yearly Potluck and Board game evening. Should be a lot of fun I do recall the board game opertion. in fact the game is still in my motheres basment. I grew up in a small farming community. A lot of the same families live in the same homes How special is that in today's world. I think I should go home and vist family and maybe break out a few of those old board games.

Trivial Pursuit
But if it can be classified as a board game, my family has really become excited over Apples to Apples...everyone can play...even the Grandkids.
