fireplace
woodburning yes, but too cheap to get it cleaned yearly and a fire
hazard when not cleaned, so we do the candles in the fireplace when we
have company, really beautiful.

Wood burning fireplace
We have a wood burning fireplace; and we love the warmth it creates - so
much more penetrating than other heat!
And it just gives a special touch to our home - winter or summer -
burning or not burning.
We have a small acreage and plenty of wood.

Fireplaces
We use ours ALL the time during the winter. We have a ventless gas unit.
Living in South Carolina has some very warm days. In addition, there are
equally cool or cold mornings. We run the firplace for about and hour
and we get nice and warm. Our cat dominates the front of the unit.

Fireplaces
We never use it. I have heard woodburning fireplaces can be bad for your
lungs. Not sure if that is true or not.
I've never heard that before. I guess if the smoke came out and filled
the room that's a possibility, but if the fireplace is working correctly
that shouldn't happen.
There's nothing nicer than a roaring fire on a cold night.

fireplace
We have two wood-burning stoves. The one on the main floor is connected
into the heating ducts so heat from that stove circulates through out
the house with the flick of a switch. If we want the heat concentrated
in the family room we just keep the blower fan on. We use the second
stove to heat the lower level if we have guests.
Our largest gas bill in the last 6 years was $50. We own or have access
to hundreds of acres to get our wood from. My husband loves to chop it
instead of having to go to a gym for a work-out. Buying wood to burn
might get expensive.
You guessed it. We don't live at the North Pole, but you can see it from
here.(old joke)

Fireplace - but not used
We have a fireplace, but, it's hidden behind our couch! We never use
it. I have heard woodburning fireplaces can be bad for your lungs. Not
sure if that is true or not.

Fireplace
When we moved to North Florida from South Florida, a must on the list
for our new home was a fireplace. We use it often in the wintertime.
