Seder

Our church does not hold a Seder meal on Thursday. However, it is an excellent suggestion!

Many years ago, we did have a Messianic Jew (from Jews for Jesus) come and give us a demonstration of the Seder meal and ritual, instead of the usual Sunday Sermon.

It was so beautiful - and so much of the ritual could be seen as directly pointing to our Lord and Saviour!

Holy Week

I agree!
It doesn't get any better than Maundy Thursday,
Good Friday, Saturday Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday.

Holly week

It is Holly Week and I am looking Forward TO Maunday Thursday and Good Friday. Easter Sunrise Service is Great and so is the easter vigil service. I know two of the seven lutheran churches in town are holding Easter Vigil. The church I attend is holding Sun Rise service. Easter is a wonderfull time of year

Sedar

Yes I would be interest, the one I have been watching, is being presided over by a Messanic Jew for his office staff. Very touching to hear the Blessings chanted in
Hebrew and then the English translation. (I know my spelling of Messanic needs corrected)

Poll Choices

Some folks seem to be wondering who the Patricks are - here's a quick rundown:

Patrick Swayze: actor in many films, including Ghost, Dirty Dancing and the cheesefest Road House.

Patrick the Starfish: the animated sidekick of SpongeBob Squarepants

Patrick Dempsey: actor in the TV show Gray's Anatomy

Patrick Stewart: actor who portrayed Capt. Picard on Star Trek, and Professor X in the X-Men movies.

Danica Patrick: the best-known female race car driver in the world.

Dan Patrick: Sportscaster, formerly of ESPN.

Sedar

In responser to Trudys' question are you refering to a Passover Sedar? Seems as this is becoming more popular. I have been watching one being demonstrated on TV. Also have a kit with all the neccesary "fixtures" and instructions.

St. Patrick

I am not catholic , and I don't know the other Patricks. However I know a Lutheran Pastor whose name is Patrick, we call him Pastor Pat, I like him so I vote for him.

Does any one of your church have the Cedar (Did I spelled that right?) meal on Thursday? Our church has that. Looking forward to it.
Of course, it is a must to go to church on Good Friday. No shopping on that day.

Have a blessed week.
