Pizza

When we lived in New Ulm, Minnesota, we could even get sauerkraut on a pizza! I believe Happy Joes has it, where that's available. It was actually quite good!

What do you like on your pizza?

Does anybody actually eat anchovies on pizza? None of the places I frequent for pizza even offer it. In fact, I haven't seen it listed as a topping for years.

Pizza

Dan, how can you say you prefer "authentic" Italian cuisine, yet love Pineapple on your pizza?? Pineapple on Pizza is an Abomination! :->

My grandfather was born and raised in Sicily. His brother-in-law made one of the best pizzas I ever had. The crust was over an inch thick, almost like a cake, with just enough sauce for flavor, not sloppy like a lot of American pizzas.

My brother-in-law's mother also made great pizza, including a white pizza with no tomato sauce at all. Just plenty of garlic and onions in a creamy, buttery cheese sauce that just soaked into the crust. Yum!

I miss living in Western New York. There are a lot of GOOD family-owned pizza places. In NW Ohio, I have to settle for some of the reasonable national chains, but they don't compare to the family shops I grew up with.

pizza

I like a pizza with all of the toppings. Pineapples And Canadian Bacon is great. Anchoives are tasty as well. A pizza with all the listed topping with the exception of Pineapple and anchoives is Good. THe Pineappple and anchoives are great but they have there place and time. I understand that like anything else We as americans have our own twist on foods be it Mexican or Italian or whatever. That is why it is fun to eat the real authentic foods and not the "americanized" version
