Beck I think you hit the nail on the head Good points. So people believe
everything Dan or Katie say as if they are experts on every topic. They
are newscasters or news anchors. It is news not news and comentary

Television
I do not like to watch TV. When I do turn it on for the news, it is
often questionable as to how accurate it is. I do not appreciate the
unsolicited commentary and do the newscasters not understand that they
do not have to yell? They are hooked up to a mike for a good reason.
Save your vocals, people. It is much quieter to read and I enjoy forming
my own assumptions.

Watching TV
We don't watch a whole lot of TV at our house anyway, so neither of us
see any reason to curtail what limited amount we do watch.

No TV
I haven't got cable or an antenna for my TV...it's hooked up only to a
VCR and a DVD player, so mostly this doesn't pertain to me. I don't
watch movies very often anyway, so refraining for a week is no
strain.
But maybe they should extend "TV Turn-off Week" to include all in-home
visual media, like vids and the computer. Except for work- or
school-related stuff, no computer usage. Now -that- would be tough!

TV turnoff
This week, I'll watch some NBA playoff games, and I hope the Lakers will
win the championship. I'll also watch a lot of news on the Fox News
Channel, CNN, and C-Span, because of the Penn. primary.
