Christmas letter

There are Christmas letters and there are Christmas letters. At least a third of mine each year represents my thoughts on the season to stress that Christmas is about Christ and God's plan for our salvation. The rest is merely a brief summary of our health, activities and status. I don't consider it bragging because I have nothing to brag about!

Christmas letters

I have to agree with kk and BBB. Most Christmas letters seem to be mainly bragging. My daughter and I used to have a good laugh at some we got where everyone in the family seemed to be perfect. I do try and write a personal note in each card and send recent photos of the grandkids to those who might be interested. I do love to send Christmas cards, however, and send a lot of them.

Christmas letter

I get disappointed when all people do is write their name, I want to know how they are doing and if anything has changed this year. People know when I have not had a good year by my quiet tone.

Christmas card letter

How annoying! It is like bragging rights to those that have more thn others. If there is a new baby, graduation, etc., the ones that should know already do. The Christmas letters seem to be stories of all the money spent during the year including lavish vacations, new autos, etc. We should keep Christ in Christmas, it is about Him, not about how He has blessed us, or worse how much debt we have gotten into.
