I spent about the same because I buy a couple of little things and then buy a savings bond for each grandchild in the same denomination. I didn't spend as much on ingredients to make Christmas "goodies".

we did not spend as much and what we did spend was on much more pratical things this year. things we are going to need. my children said it was an underwear and socks year. ha ha
