Winds and Reeds
Shar, I enjoy the sax, too, especially the baritone, and have played
them extensively.
All saxes, though, are woodwinds like the clarinet and flute (even if
they don't have any "wood" in them).

Favorite instrument
I picked other, because while I love to hear a beautifully played
violin, I love the saxophone, from soprano to tenor sax. A great
instrument.

Instruments...
I tend to agree with you Don... nothing compares with the human
voice.
However, the list did not include my favorite, the pipe organ!
Now, if the question meant "orchestral instruments", I'd have to vote
for brass.

Favorite Instruments
My favorite family of instruments are the ones we constantly carry with
us -- the human voice.
It is capable of such a wide variety of sounds and emotions, much more
than any wind, brass, or other man-made instrument.
