Popcorn
I like popcorn but not at movie theater prices.

Popcorn?! Get real...
I agree; concession prices are astronomical these days. Moreover, the
popcorn is nothing to write home about. And what is that gunk they put
on it? Recycled motor oil colored yellow? Or is it actually
watered-down glazing compound? At any rate, I don't eat it. I carry my
own (empty) water bottle into the theater and fill it from the water
fountain--that keeps me hydrated through the movie. And I make sure to
eat a good meal before I go, so it's not even a temptation to buy any of
that overpriced stuff.
Okay, finished with soapbox now...

Concessions...
We never buy popcorn at the movies anymore. Ticket prices in Toledo are
outrageous - $7.25 for a first run matinee for seniors... there's only
one cinema chain, so effectively there's no competition.

Let's All Go To The Lobby!
Ticket prices at the movies have risen sky-high, but the concessions are
where they make their money.
To balance that a bit, I proudly tell 'em that I'm a senior and entitled
to the much cheaper admission, and attend a theater only after I've
eaten a meal.
That helps me control my appetite for junk. Turned loose, I could
devour a tub of popcorn myself, and I just don't want to think of that.

Popcorn Choice
I like it buttered with a bag of M&M's. A little sweet & salty combo.
