I live in Northfield, IL, and I'm a republican candidate for state rep.

Public Office

I once considered running for county clerk when my boss retires but I feel like being in politics compromises my morals somewhat. Plus, our office issues marriages licenses and if gay marriage would ever be legalized in Illinois, I would have to agree to issue a marriage license to a gay or lesbian couple. That is something that I could not do. We already have an ELCA Church right next door to the courthouse....
