| Health Care Reform
Our troops already get excellent care while in service, however the VA
system could use a little help.
As for national health care, are you aware that most "Lutheran"
nations,Finland, for example, where our faith IS the national religion
have health care in their constitutions? Seriously, I don't think a
person can be pro-life and not be pro-health care. Life, liberty and the
persuit of happiness? Not if you don't have good health care.
A national plan? I seriously think we need one. But then perhaps I'm
biased after losing my home to an unscrupulous (putting it mildly)
insurance company.
There will still be private insurers and everyone will be free to chose
what kind of program they want, so if you want your private insurance,
fine, but don't speak for the rest of us.

| National Health Care
We HAVE a National Health Care System. Its just that our current
system is expensive. A Government controled system would be in my
opinion expensive and restrictive.
What to do? This may be overly simplistic but we should accept
personal responsibility to, Eat well, exercise, work hard, play hard,
sleep 8 hours, and brush our teeth.
To many of us eat poorly, sit all day, work to long, play to
little, sleep 5-6 hours, and swish our mouths out with carbonated
colored water.
I'm a big guy but I run about 20 miles a week. I get my sleep,
I've learned to work at work and play more at home. I am more relaxed
and feel good.
It takes time to do the things we should. We need to slow down a bit
and enjoy the wonders God has blessed us with.

| Health Care Reform
As I understand what it is being considered in Congress the proposed
reform would hurt millions of senior citizens and the disabled. Many of
these people are on a fixed income and use the Advantage Plan. They
would be forced into a much more expensive Supplemental plan such as the
one AARP is advertising.
Seniors and Disabled people will not get a Cost of Living Increase for
Social Security for the next two or three years. (Congress voted for one
for themselves, however.) Medicare costs will still be going up.
Logicaly Seniors will have less for the necessities.
Seniors will not be necessarily be able to keep their doctors as the
Advantage plan they have now will no longer exist.
Those that the reform bill is designed to help, the uninsured, will be
forced to pay for
health insurance (most likely the public option,) or be fined.
This bill (as all other bills,) were promised to be publihed online for
three days before voting. Congress voted not to do this. In reality
there is no "bill," just an outline that Congress can fill in the blanks
as they please and slip through amendments at the last moment.
NO ONE will be able to read this bill before voting. Not our senators,
not our representatives, and not "we the people."
I say no to Health Care Reform. We should be looking out for our troops
stationed in Iraq and Afganistan.
Why run up a higher deficit when it seems to me no one can figure out
how to pay off the one we have now.
