I really enjoyed meeting all the nice Lutherans out there, while waiting to find my future wife.
Be careful when you put down the answer "willing to relocate", because when I put that down I thought of an hour or two drive. I found the girl of my dreams three time zones away and a five hour flight to the West coast. I sure didn't plan for that, but when I read her profile, I was so interested that I just had to write her. Our emails kept growing, We started talking every night on the phone, and about five months later, I just had to meet her in person. December 2008 we met for the first time. Many frequent flyer miles later we will be married in December 2009. It was evident, that God sure had His plans for us and that is the reason we met. He answered not only our prayers, but those of our friends and family.

A match truly made by God
Success for Marie10 and Bearskinner! August 2008 Bearskinner posted his profile and discovered Marie10’s profile. After anguishing about whether to make the contact, he finally did so and Marie responded. Various system communications took place, e-mails, and eventually phone calls. A face to face meeting took place in late October 2008. Although our winter travels took us in different directions, we maintained communication. We met again in March 2009 and travelled back to Michigan in separate motor homes. A proposal was offered in June and we will be married Sept 12, 2009. My husband Joe and I met at Singles Seeking August 2007. He had a profile for a while and I had my profile on for many years but then removed it for a year. I had lost my job in February of 2007 and after months of searching I had no success where I lived. After a long time of praying for a job and someone special, something told me in July of 2007 to try my profile again and give it another chance. Within 2 weeks I got an email from Joe. We got to know each through email for a while then we decided to meet. I was nervous to meet for the first time but we had a great time! We both had to drive, so we met somewhere in the middle for the both of us. Long story short, things went very well and in May 2008 we were married, and we celebrated our 1 year anniversary exactly 3 months ago today! We had a lot in common, but yet we have had different life experiences. My husband is definitely my best friend and I have truly blessed with a wonderful man. We both shared the same Lutheran background and I joined his church before we were married. I never imagined I would meet someone who I feel like is my other half. I cannot imagine my life without him! I believe God send us one soul mate who we belong with. Don't ever give up, you never know who may be waiting for you!

I signed up on this site as a whim....
I signed up on this site as a whim. I was becoming discouraged by the lack of responses I was getting from emails that I sent out, so I decided to send out a last round of messages and then just forget about it. Well, I received one reply from a gal and we just started talking. Soon the emails were at least a page. Then we started talking on the phone. It was all down hill from there! Through much prayer and other frustrating attempts I put my profile onto Singles Seeking just before Christmas. It was wonderful to be able to communicate with other Christian gentlemen right from the start. Within 2 weeks I wrote to Paul for the first time--he wrote me back within a day or so and then our relationship just "took off"! I had not intended to pursue a relationship with a pastor, but God had other plans for me--!-- because I fell in love with one before I even met him--which I did on New Year's Eve Day for the first time! I found the man that God has chosen for me and I can't believe how wonderful and what a blessing Paul is even though we still live 1500 miles away yet! We will be getting married at your Heartwood Resort this upcoming Mother's Day as our courtship began through the Thrivent website---Paul's idea--how romantic! After a year of courtship, we are now engaged...
Back in November of 2007, Keith and I both posted profiles within 24 hours of one another, were in contact with one another within 24 hours after that, within a week were making arrangements to meet in person and after a year of courtship, we are now engaged and planning for a wedding later this year! First date, turned out to be a train wreck...
I met my fiance in July of 2007 through Singles Seeking. We exchanged emails for a few months, then decided to meet in person. Our next, and official first date, turned out to be a train wreck.... literally. I was on a train going to meet him and the train derailed. I had given up on online dating sites but...
I am having you delete my profile as through your message board and then the Thrivent singles seeking site I have met John and we will be married on Dec 27th. I had given up on online dating sites but after you email and then emailing each other that led to phone calls and meeting each other we have found that we have much in common and have truly fallen in love. I couldn't have been more pleased with the questions used...
Patricia told you her side of the story; here is my side. I, too, can have my name removed from the database, as she and I married 3 weeks ago. I couldn't have been more pleased with the questions used to prepare the profile, and the way Lutherans Online handled the initial communications. We just celebrated the 10-month anniversary of my posting a profile and her response two hours later, one of 6 that afternoon. I feel we were brought together in a very nice way. Our immediate families--siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews were at the wedding, and everything went as planned. We are very happy together, and looking forward to some years of being together. As an older man, I didn't see much point in delaying things, and she agreed. That became the start of two really special romances...
My roommate first met my fiance on the message board from Single Seeking around October of 2006. Around February of 2007 I began emailing him. In April of 2007 we met in person. When talking to each other we found out we lived in the same apartment complex in St. Louis! What a coincidence!!! We saw each other off and on over the next several months and decided we really liked where things were headed. In September of 2007 I invited him and his brother to a Cardinals game with my roommate and I. That became the start of two really special romances between 4 people! In April of 2008 both guys asked us ladies to marry them!! Well, the conclusion of the story will take place in June of 2009 when we get married 13 days apart!!! Chris & JJ, March 2008
I was bored one day and started a profile...
In August of 2005, I answered an email that changed my life and it all began because I was bored one day and started a profile on Singles Seeking. JJ emailed and we began to chat online and then by phone at least 2-3 times a day. Finally on Oct. 30, 2005 we met face to face and I knew that I had met the man I would some day marry. I fought the feelings for several months and then JJ did, but eventually, we got our act together and are getting married in June of this year. I would like to thank you for having a free way for singles to meet. And to think it was all because I was bored. I nearly deleted, thinking it was spam...
On September 27, 2006, I got an email that I nearly deleted, thinking it was spam, then realized it was from Thrivent. I had no idea at the time that I had just received an email from the true love of my life! Within days of his emailing me, he deployed to Iraq, and we continued to write each other daily, and talk weekly when he was able to call. We finally met in person when he flew home nearly 10 months later for a 2-week break. By then we knew we were made for each other. He returned to Iraq for the remainder of his deployment; in December he came home to Kansas, and I flew out from New Hampshire. He proposed on January 1st, 2008! We will be getting married April 25, and are both so grateful to God and to Lutherans Online (and of course to his mom, who nagged him into joining, to hear him tell it!) for bringing us to each other from half a world apart. Made the same dinners on Fridays...
Stephanie and i met on LOL singles in June of 03... 3,000 miles apart we e-mailed and talked by phone for 6 months... made the same dinners on Fridays and got the same movie from the rental place and had a 3000 mile "date" having dinner and a movie "together". She visited NJ- September 11, 2003 she asked me to meet her folks in Calif for Christmas 03... she proposed to me in baggage claim at SFO international... We got married twice, once at the Courthouse in Red Bluff CA in May 04... and at my church (re-affirming our vows) in NJ in August '04. then we moved to Oregon in July 05.. God is sooooo good! I had given up on Lutherans Online and hadn't looked at it for almost a year when I received an email from David. Even though he was in Iowa and I was in Indiana--and he's originally from Papua New Guinea--we seemed to connect within a few messages. A couple of months later found me driving 8 hours through the snow to meet face to face, and within another 6 months we were engaged. We were married on February 4, 2006. Discovered that our friendship easily bloomed into...
Liz and I started emailing each other back in June of 2006. Over the course of more than a year, we became good friends, sharing our deepest thoughts, hopes, wishes and dreams. I found I had a love for her that grew into a curiosity about what might happen were we ever to meet. Back at the end of September we finally met and discovered that our friendship easily blossomed into a rich affection. We are currently engaged to be married on December 9th, 2007. Thank you Jesus! We talked online and via phone...
The Lord has blessed me with a truly wonderful wife! I met my wife, Lori, on Lutherans Online last June (2006). We talked online and via phone throughout the summer and met for the first time in October. I asked her to marry me on New Years Eve and we were married on June 23rd. We just celebrated our third wedding anniversary...
I wasn't looking for a long-distance relationship (but Waukesha WI is only 650 miles from Knoxville TN) but a few weeks after I got into this site I received a message from a sassy lady who said, "Write back, if you want to." We wrote back and forth and met at her church in Knoxville several weeks later. About ten months later we were engaged and we just celebrated our third wedding anniversary. The Lord has given me a good Christian woman this time and I love her dearly. Frances is indeed a blessing to me. Best wishes to Christine and Weldon as they approach their fourth anniversay as well. My prince came into my life last May...
After watching 2 good friends marry their wonderful men - I had to ask "How did you meet?" They both said Lutherans Online. I, somewhat reluctantly, decided to try it. So glad I did! I met my wife, Joy, through Singles Seeking in 2001. I posted an ad and she answered and although she was 450 miles away, we began email and telephone "dating."
