MISSION PRAYER � Campus Ministries
Heavenly Father, we come before your throne of grace on behalf of our WELS campus ministries and the many college students they serve. Send your Holy Spirit into the hearts of these young people so that they may grow in your grace and wisdom. Give them strength to resist temptation, showing them that following you is more satisfying than pursuing selfish goals. Please help them to carry the burdens and crosses they are asked to bear and empower them to stand up for the truth of your Word when they come face to face with professors or classmates who oppose you or your Word.

YEAR OF JUBILEE: IMPOSSIBLE MISSION?
Please read Leviticus 25 regarding the Old Testament Year of Jubilee. It seems like an impossible mission, doesn�t it? You wonder what the children of Israel thought about forgiving all debts as God had commanded. What do we think about the WELS� Year of Jubilee goal of gathering $22.4 million to completely eliminate the synod�s debt by the 2009 Synod Convention? Let�s remember Gabriel�s words to Mary as well as Jesus� answer to his baffled disciples: �What is impossible with men is possible with God.� (Luke 1:37; 18:27) As we hear about God�s love for us in the coming months, let us put our faith in him to provide for all of our needs, and celebrate as we see how God blesses our church body.
