Office Hours for Pastor Thickpenny will be Tuesday, Wedensday, Thursday from 9:00-4:00. He will usually be in the office in the morning. Afternoons may be used for visits and/or office time. To assure he is available please call the church. If you would like to meet with him at a different time please call for an appointment.

From the Old Testament reading for August 31, the prophet Jeremiah is having a pretty rough time. He even said, “…know that on your (God’s) account I suffer insult.”I wonder if we don’t feel that way sometimes. We live with so many things packed into our schedules that our discipleship may feel like an intrusion. When we run out of time, we take time from the Sabbath—that day set aside for us to rest and most importantly hear God’s word. It is a time we greet others who are part of the body of Christ. God’s words become a joy to us to hear and “eat”. We realize that we truly have been given the gift of the Kingdom of God, and Christ is with us.

Take time in this season to worship and become part of one of the Bible study groups. There is more in the newsletter on dates and times. May God’s word be a delight in our hearts. It is meant to be God’s gift to us. Christ’s peace go with you, Pastor Thickpenny
