The Indiana District LWML will issue a limited number of $500.00 scholarships for the 2009-2010 school year to young men and women preparing for full-time church work in the LC-MS (pastor, teacher, DCE, deaconess, etc.)
To qualify, a student must be a communicant member of a congregation in the LC-MS in the Indiana District for at least 18 months. He/she must attend an LC-MS synodical school with approved enrollment.
Scholarships are issued for a period of one year. A new application must be made each year. Obtain applications by contacting the Scholarship Chairman (address below)
or by downloading a copy of the
Scholarship
Application Letter and the
Scholarship Application Form from the website.. Completed application forms must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2009.

2007-2008 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
Those receiving funds from the Helen Hartman
Scholarship Fund were:

Megan Franz from Monroeville, IN who is a junior
in teacher training at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI
-
Gary Schultz, a Vicar serving in Shorewood, WI, who will return to Concordia
Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN for his fourth year of pastoral training.
Gary is from Fort Wayne.
Monies given to the LWML Scholarship Fund through “Memorial” and “Joy Card”
Donations along with direct gifts funded only seven additional scholarships
which were given to:

Elizabeth Christian, Monroeville, IN who is a junior at Concordia University,
Seward, NE training to be a teacher.

Greg Enterline from Fort Wayne, IN who is preparing for the pastoral ministry
at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

Joshua Keinath, Seymour, IN who is a Sem I student at Concordia Seminary in
St. Louis.

David Mews, Fort Wayne, who will be a junior at Concordia University,
Wisconsin. David is preparing to become a pastor.

Stephanie Meyer, Columbus, IN who will be a senior in teacher training at
Concordia University, Chicago.

Jeana Moe of Fort Wayne, who is getting her Masters in Deaconess Training at
Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne.

Daniel Hampton, Newburg, IN who will be a senior at Concordia University,
Seward, NE studying to be a Director of Christian Education.
