Communication Tips & Tools |
Mailings to every member, a chapter web site and church bulletin inserts are all examples of ways of communicating with Thrivent Financial members to inform them of the dates, times and places of activities. MAILINGS -- Directions for doing a mailing to all members is on the quick reference guide that you may access with the button on the right. Each chapter is entitled to four newsletters per year plus an election invitation newsletter or post card. An unlimited number of post cards may be sent to inform members about events. Newsletters and post cards may also be sent only to Congregational Coordinators to communicate important information to the volunteers who manage the Care in Congregations program at each church in your chapter. Use the online system, as per the directions on the quick reference guide, and the chapter will not need to spend funds for printing or mailing. All printing and addressing and mailing will be completed by the Thrivent Financial Operations Center. Please plan ahead, since mail delivery may take extra time. |

BULLETIN INSERTS -- Church bulletin inserts, which are available on the Chapter Admin web page, may be saved to your hard drive as a Word document. Then add local information and print (or email to a church secretary who will print copies). Church bulletin inserts are easy and fast, but remember that you will not reach every member by using this method.

| CHAPTER DEPOSITORY AUTHORIZATION FORM -- New financial directors, new assistant financial directors, and new Thrivent Builds Chapter Specialists need to complete a Chapter Depository Authorization form and mail it to the address on the form. Click the link below to find the form. It is also recommended that the Chapter Checking Account Security Questions Report be completed and mailed with the Chapter Depository Authorization form. The completion of the security question form will enable you to be served more expediently the first time that you call the Thrivent Financial bank for chapter business. Both forms may also be found in the "Order Chapter Supplies" section of Chapter Admin. | |

PROVIDING ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF DONATIONS (RECEIPTS)-- Be prepared by distributing Acknowledgement of Donation forms to Care Abounds in Communities service teams, when your board approves a Care Abounds in Communities request. This acknowledgement/receipt form is to be completed, signed and given to each person who donates $25.00 or more. It is a best practice offer to provide a signed copy of the form to each person donating less than $25.00. It will be easier to provide a completed and signed copy at the time the donation is made than it will be to provide it months later! Let's be proactive! |
