Yoga is an ancient eastern discipline that combines breathing, flexibility & strength training to improve ones overall physical & emotional well-being. Our own Peggy Allison is a certified yoga instructor who offers a class every Tuesday evening at 7:15 at Christ Lutheran. The cost is only $5. No previous experience is required & all ages are welcome.

The open discussion group called Jacob’s Well is up & running at the Joe Muggs Café at the Prattville Books-a-Million. East Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m., our own Pastor Mason & Pastor Ray Cureton of Grace Reformed Church facilitate discussions on theology, ethics, spirituality, faith & more. Join them some Tuesday evening for this faith-growing experience.
New Art for Our Sanctuary
Stained glass was not a part of the original architecture of the Christ Lutheran sanctuary. However, on July 24, we dedicated a work of art that is stained glass’ equal. Val Pierce donated the wonderful tapestry, In His Light, in memory of her father, L.T. Anderson. This illustration of Jesus & a child has been hung directly behind the altar as an artful reminder that Jesus is our loving host at the Communion table.
SIMPLY GIVING
Since Christ Lutheran began offering the automated giving program called Simply Giving (endorsed by Thrivent Financial Bank) several members have chosen to participate. They have told us how much they like the program because of its convenience. They also mentioned that they appreciate that their financial gifts to CLC continue even if they are out of town & aren’t able to be at a worship service.
The Simply Giving program is a way to help you achieve your stewardship plan for Christ Lutheran. You can enroll at any time by completing the Simply Giving enrollment form. See Michael Camire for more enrollment information.
