Does America need to change the way its dying are treated?
Most people say they prefer to die at home, but today the majority of people still die in hospitals. Channel 9 aired a Bill Moyers TV series, On Our Own Terms: Moyers on Dying, that depicted how our system of caring for the terminally ill needs to be reformed. A St. Louis organization, the Gateway End-of-Life Coalition, has been formed in response to this program. They can be reached at 314-729-4401 for further information.

A report issued today by the St. Louis County Department of Health states that some North County mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). For more information about West Nile virus see the CDC site or for information from metro St. Louis health authorities on how to avoid the disease and how to report dead birds, visit the West Nile Virus Information Center .
