Friendship Star Quilt Handmade by Helen Singletary - Click on photo to enlarge
|
Make this holiday gift giving a little easier on you while you also support a good cause. On Saturday, December 4, at Hudson Park in Crawfordville you will be able to purchase bundles of fire-starters that will be tightly wrapped and tied with a holiday ribbon. Or you may decide to give a basket of fire-starters that will be beautifully decorated and will include pinecones that burn in different colors. And you can also give homemade baked goods and extravagant chocolate candies packaged in very special containers that will be a lasting gift long after the goodies are consumed. And to top off the day, at noon, we will raffle a beautiful Friendship Star handmade quilt that has every single stitch sewn by hand by Helen Singletary. Raffle Tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. The quilt may be viewed on our website at www.lutheransonline.com/trinityofwakulla. Funds raised will be used for new HVAC for Trinity Lutheran Church. The event will be held between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The quilt may also be viewed Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – noon at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3254 Coastal Highway, Medart. | | Bible study titled "Encountering the Old Testament" continues Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. In this discussion we will briefly present the factual content of each book of the Old Testament and introduce historical, geographical, and cultural backgrounds. The New Testament is a fulfillment of the Old Testament, but also the continuing story of the Family of God. We will look at the themes: God, people, and the Gospel as it relates to us. Everyone, church members and visitors, are invited to join us for a lively discussion and learning session. Questions? Call Vicar Bert 926-7808.

About Vicar Bert Matlock |

|
Vicar Bert is a retired helicopter pilot with the Florida Highway Patrol. He brings a real life perspective to the pulpit and is a pleasure to have as our leader. Vicar Bert’s sermons are always interesting and the congregation leaves church every Sunday feeling spiritually refreshed. We are blessed to have Vicar Bert’s very talented wife, Ingrid, and their two children, Annika and Erik, in our congregation. Bert's mother and step-father, Doris & Ernie, are a wonderful addition to our church family. You should come to a service just to hear Ernie play clarinet or keyboard with the Trinity band! Vicar Bert can usually be found in the church office Monday - Thursday 9:30 a.m. - noon. The phone number to his church office is 926-7808. Vicar Bert has brought many new members and visitors to our church and we would be pleased to have YOU visit and join us as well!

Oktoberfest Was A Sucess! |
The food was great! |
Trinity Lutheran Church (TLC) held an Oktoberfest fundraiser Saturday, October 4. The day turned out beautifully with sunny skies and a cooling breeze. Visitors enjoyed a pancake breakfast, baked goods, and fabulous yard sale items. Many folks returned for lunch, which consisted of grilled Bratwurst, kielbasa, hot dogs, sauerkraut, authentic homemade German potato salad, coleslaw and German Chocolate Cake. Many thanks go to the community for their support of this annual event. Ingrid Matlock designed and sewed our beautifully made banners. Thanks, Ingrid! We especially appreciate the folks that took the time to attend our fundraiser and support our church. Thank you!
