Please keep the Mexico team in your prayers. We encourage you to read and reflect on the scriptures we will be using as part of our daily devotions.

MEXICO TRIP ITINERARY
THIS ITINERARY IS ROUGH IN THAT MANY OF OUR TIMES ARE APPROXIMATIONS. HOWEVER, THIS OUTLINE SHOULD GIVE YOU A BETTER IDEA OF WHAT WE’LL BE DOING ON OUR TRIP AND WHEN.

SATURDAY, August 2nd
6:00am—Meet at St. Philip’s, give passports to Angie, load the bus.
6:45am—On the Road!

• We will be stopping for lunch and dinner, with a few rest stops. We are driving through the day and night!
• We can watch movies, play games and cards, talk, read, sleep, and have all sorts of fun on the bus…but remember, one of our drivers will be resting at all times to stay fresh for the road!

SUNDAY, August 3rd
12:00am—Still on the bus…sleep…sleep 
1 - 2pm-ish—Arrive in El Paso!
6pm—Cross the Border and head to Pastor Joe’s church (where we’ll be staying all week)
10 pm-Lights out

• We will be stopping for breakfast and lunch while on the road, and we will have dinner in El Paso.
• Once in El Paso, we will be stopping at Sam’s Club to pick-up all of our food for the week. Then we will all cross the border into Juarez.
• We need to pick-up our people traveling by air from the airport.

MONDAY, August 4th
5:45am—Rise and Shine! Time for breakfast and lunch making!
7:00am—Meet the Casas staff at Pastor Joe’s church in Juarez (they are bringing our tools  )
7:40am—Load the bus and then arrive at our sites to begin the day!
2-3pm-ish—Wrap up at our sites and head back to the church for dinner, worship, small groups
10 pm-Lights out
• Our first day of building will include tool inventory, the leveling and pouring of our foundation, and the construction of the walls.
• We’re getting up early each day that we build to avoid the mid-day heat. Trust me, you will be glad we’re working in the morning hours more than the afternoon—and you’ll have time to rest when we return to the church 
• Everyday, we will eat lunch at the worksite mid-way through our work day.
• We will eat dinner as a group upon returning to the church
• Every night after dinner, we will be having a worship service. Each team will be responsible for planning parts of these services (except for Wednesday night).

TUESDAY, August 5th
5:00am—Rise and shine! Breakfast and lunch packing!
6:00am—Leave for the work sites
2-3pm-ish—Return to the church
4:30pm—Eat dinner at the church
5:00pm—Head out for Josephina’s Children’s home to play with kids and bring them gifts!
10pm-Lights out
• We can bring gifts to Josephina’s children. All items will be handed out by their staff—we won’t give anything directly to the kids. We will play and sing with them for an hour or so!

WEDNESDAY, August 6th
5:00am—Rise and shine! Breakfast and lunch packing!
6:00am—Leave for the work sites
2-3pm-ish—Return to the church
4pm—Dinner at the church
5pm-Leave for El Oasis, Worship from 6:30 – 7:30
10 pm- Lights out

• We have been invited to participate in the Wednesday evening worship service with all the teams serving with Casas this week. The worship will last an hour. There is a little store there were you can do some shopping, fun!

THURSDAY, August 7th
5:00am—Rise and shine! Breakfast and lunch packing!
6:00am—Leave for the work sites
1-2pm-ish—Finish house and church; dedicate with the family and Pastor!
6pm ish—Dinner (We have invited Pastor Joe and Ester to be our guests and stay and worship with us.)
7pm—Communion Worship

• Today will be our last day of construction. We will finish and dedicate our home and church before we leave the sites. Any gifts your team brings for the family will be given at the dedication.
• We will have a special closing worship service this evening.

FRIDAY, August 8th
6:00am—Rise and shine! Eat breakfast, load the buses, clean the church!
8:00am—Leave for El Paso!
10:00am—Cross the border back into El Paso.
5:00 pm—Pool in Abeline, TX
8:00pm—Back on the bus to drive all night!

• We will be driving all day and all night on Friday.
• We are stopping in Abeline, TX at a pool where we can swim, shower, have a blast, eat some pizza before getting back on the bus.

SATURDAY, August 9th
7:00am—Still driving. . . . .Wake up, eat breakfast and lunch on bus (and dinner if necessary)
4-8:00pm— Arrive back at St. Philip’s! (actual arrival time is estimated)

• We will be stopping for lunch, dinner, and a few other rest stops along the way.
• Our arrival time is just an estimate. Many factors can make the trip faster or slower. We will do our best to update the website with our progress.
