| 'By God's Grace' Musical Celebration - partnering with St. John's Home Green House Project | | Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 starting at 3:00p. | | All Lutheran congregations within the regional area of the Rochester NY Chapter have been invited to bring a musical group to perform a piece of music based on 'By God's Grace.' We hope to have a wide variety of all age musicians, musical styles, and musical media.
The afternoon concert will give opportunity for our witness to our community regarding God's abundant grace and blessings. Speakers are being invited to speak to the theme.
Pablo Busto of Reformation Lutheran will perform music during the first half. Chris Petit of St Paul's Lutheran will be the musical director of the second half. We hope to have a performance of combined musical talents as the closing.

| Congregational Advocate training | | Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 from 8:30a until 11:00a. | | In-depth training for individuals identified, and approved by chapter board as congregational advocates. This training will enable congregational advocates to perform their role and understand tools avaialble to them from Thrivent Financial.
Training will take place at Pinnacle Lutheran Church in Henrietta. |

| Thrivent Project Leaders' Appreciation | | Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 from 4:00p until 6:00p. | | The Rochester NY Chapter Board of Thrivent Financial would like to show their appreciation for all the effort that project leaders have put forth over the last year (Sept. 2009 - 2010) We will have an afternoon celebration to include the designated project leaders and a guest, and two other project team members. Also invited to the recognition event will be representatives of the benefiting organizations, to share their gratitude for the efforts.

| Foodlink Night at Red Wings with Picnic and Ballgame | | Friday, June 4, 2010 starting at 6:00p. | | Thrivent members and their friends will have an opportunity to learn about the local food pantry needs, especially during the summer months.
Red Wings, Foodlink and Thrivent Financial are partnering to bring 'Foodlink Night' to Red Wings stadium. All attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item. Attendees of the game will also have opportunity to enter a drawing for gift certificates from local restaurants and businesses.
There will be fireworks after the game, so don't miss those!!
