TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME! Looking for some family fun this summer? Thrivent Night at the Asheville Tourists is Saturday, August 21 at 7:00 pm. As a special thank you to our Thrivent members your Central Blue Ridge Chapter is offering free tickets which includes immediate family members as well. For those who bring a can of food or toiletry free “Tourist Bucks” tickets for food will be given. The donations will go to local food banks in the surrounding counties. Peter Mayer Benefit Concert

Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 starting at 1:30p.

THRIVENT FINANCIAL BENEFIT MUSIC FESTIVAL PETER MAYER WILL HEADLINE CONCERT On Saturday, September 19th Peter Mayer, lead guitarist for Jimmy Buffet, will be playing with his group at Asheville Christian Academy in Swannanoa. The benefit will support Asheville Area Habitat and the “Thrivent Builds” program. Doors will open at 1:30 with several area Lutheran Church praise groups playing, followed by The Peter Mayer Group playing at 4:30. Youth Groups are invited to sell refreshments and keep the proceeds for their ministries and activities. Tickets will cost $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under and will be sold through area Lutheran Churches and online at www.ashevilleareahabitat.org.
