| Italian Night (Retirement Celebration for Pastor Don) | | Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 from 7:00p until 9:00p. | | We celebrate Pastor Don's retirement from Nativity Lutheran Church on Saturday night, September 27th as we feast on a lovely Italian meal and enjoy a program honoring Don's ministry with us. |

| Confirmation Classes begin | | From the week of Sept. 10, 2008 through the week of May 20, 2009, Wednesday of every week from 6:00p until 7:00p. | | Confirmation classes for all young people in grades 7 and up who have not yet been confirmed in the Lutheran Church. We will have two weeks of review with Pastor Hanberry and then begin a new curriculum with Pastor Axel. Confirmation is a program of education that teaches the young person about the theology and doctrines of the Lutheran Church in an engaging and informative manner. It is a process that prepares the young person to affirm their own faith as an adult member of the church. Confirmation includes class, yearly retreats, active participation in the worship of the community and service projects in the community. It is a process of discipleship building that will support the young person as they grow in faith. |

| First Communion Class | | From Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 through Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 every 7 days from 6:00p until 7:30p. | | First Communion Class will be held for all children who would like to begin sharing the Eucharist with the community. This can happen at any age but is preferably done with some initial understanding surrounding the gift of the Lord's Supper. We will have two sessions and invite the children's parents to attend the second session with them. We will have the first session on Wednesday, Sept. 10th and the second session on Wednesday, Sept. 17th. The children will taste communion bread and wine and will take their first communion with their parents on the following Sunday, Sept. 21st. |

| Wonderful Wednesday Kick-Off | | Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 from 5:15p until 6:00p. | | We will kick off the Wednesday evening education with a dinner at 5:15. Don't worry about grabbing dinner on the way, Come and dine with us! |

| RALLY DAY | | Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 starting at 10:00a. | | Kick off Sunday School for all ages on Sunday, September 7th. We will have an intergenerational event with Worship starting at 10 am. We never stop learning, no matter how old we get and there is always room for one more . . . Come and be our guest! |

| Nativity Outdoor Worship and Summer Picnic | | Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008 from 10:00a until 2:00p. | | Join us for worship by the lakeside at lovely Fort Yargo state Park in Winder off of Hwy 81. We will begin worship at 10 am at the Beach Pavilion down by the lake. After worship, we will cook out and then families can take advantage of everything Fort Yargo has to offer. Please join us for worship and fellowship. Remember to purchase your parking pass for $3. upon entering the park.

| WELCA Meeting | | From Aug. 5, 2008, the 1st Tuesday of every month from 7:00p until 8:30p. | | All women at Nativity Lutheran Church and their friends are welcome to attend WELCA meetings on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7 pm. at the church. These meetings will include Bible Study, fellowship, outreach projects and whatever else the Lord sees that we need to do. |

| Mission Team Meeting | | From July 8, 2008, the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 7:00p until 9:00p. | | The Mission Team of Nativity Lutheran Church oversees the ministries of the congregation and spends these meetings in prayer, discussion and fellowship. | Men's Group | | From June 21, 2008, the 3rd Saturday of every month starting at 8:30p. | | The men of Nativity Lutheran Church meet once a month on the 3rd Saturday morning to enjoy breakfast and fellowship together. Youth class for youth from 6th grade thru 12th grade follows immediately after Worship during the school year
Children's class for children 4 yrs. thru 5th grade begins after the Children's Sermon and continues until Communion when all participants rejoin the Church family for the Eucharistic Meal.
Adult Forum for all adults, college age and up starting immediately after Worship. |
