| Discipleship Training | | Members and friends of Prince of Peace are encouraged to pursue a course in discipleship during the coming months. Using the book A Purpose Driven Life, by Pastor Rick Warren, one chapter will be read and discussed each week for 40 weeks. Participants will explore what it means to be a child of God and a disciple of Jesus!
This course will be available both on Sunday mornings, 9:45 to 10:45, and on THURSDAY evenings, 7:00 to 8:00. At the end of the 40 weeks, participants will be encouraged to make a commitment to specific ways of being a follower of Jesus; the groups will help to write this commitment statement and, if they choose to do so, will sign the commitment.
Through the power of God, this discipleship event will lift and transform the people of Prince of Peace. Members and friends are encouraged to bring visitors and seekers to the discussion sessions, and also to share reactions to the life purposes outlined in the book with friends throughout the week as well as with classmates at the weekly meetings.
