| Archival Gleanings - Sifting through 160 years of Calmar Lutheran History | | Sunday, May 5, 2013 starting at 2:00p. | | 2013 marks the 160th Anniversary of Calmar Lutheran Church, a congregation that has a rich and fascinating history as revealed in the artifacts, original documents, and historic photographs from the congregation’s newly established archives. Please join Calmar Lutheran Church on May 5th, 2:00 p.m., for “Archival Gleanings—Sifting through 160 Years of Calmar Lutheran History,” presented by Russell Baldner. After weeks of organizing and historical research—both in English and Norwegian—it is a story waiting to be shared with members and friends of the congregation and the community.
Set in the congregation’s larger historical context, the presentation will include an interpretive and pictorial review of much of Calmar Lutheran’s history; a firsthand examination of original artifacts, photographs and documents; recent historical discoveries; and congregational insights from yesteryear.
The public is cordially invited to join the congregation in remembering and celebrating 160 years of Grace.

Addyson Marie (Zidlicky) Cordes, daughter of Nathan Cordes
& Michelle Zidlicky, was born on 8/10/11.
Shortly after her 1st birthday, an Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid tumor was discovered on her brain. The tumor was removed on 9/21/12 and diagnosed as cancerous. Addyson will now undergo chemotherapy and stem cell treatments and potentially radiation as well. This cancer is highly malignant and fast growing.
We are seeking your help and support in raising funds to offset expenses.
