|
Welcome! |
...to the Gulf Coast Chapter Web site!A Chapter of Excellence Award Winner - The 'get er done' chapter. Chapter activities during 2010 included support for the Orange Grove Volunteer Department, the Sinton Food Bank, and Kid's Cafe of the Corpus Christi Food Bank. Our members make a difference everyday through our chapter system. Sixty-two (62) Chapter activities were conducted by the Gulf Coast Chapter, resulting in 37,653 volunteer hours. Funds raised by these local teams, plus matching funds from Thrivent Financial, totaled $127,566.00. Together we multiply the good we can do for our communities. For us, that means good for the people of South Texas! | |

===================================================Stay away from the dunes. The dunes along Padre Island are known for one of natures most dangerous creatures, the rattle snake. The dunes also protect the island from waves that may result from hurricanes and tropical storms. ==================================================== |

There are a number of beautiful ocean creatures, but don't mess with the Man-O-War jellyfish that wash up. Leave them to the seagulls and other predators to pick up. |
