| President - Carolyn Howard |
Carolyn Howard has been a Lutheran all of her life and is a member of Peace Lutheran in Texas City. She is a widow, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her days are spent homeschooling her youngest grandson. She has held many volunteer positions at church including singing in the choir which she enjoys. | Vice President - Ruby Reviere |
Ruby Reviere, grew up in Clinton, Louisiana on a farm near Baton Rouge. She graduated from LSU. She four adult children, two girls and two boys, and nine grandchildren. She is retired, loves Bible study and has traveled to Malta, Italy, Israel, Egypt and Cambodia this past February and March. She also enjoys making quilt tops for Lutheran World Relief and has served previously as Vice President of the Galveston County Chapter of Thrivent for Lutherans. | Records Director - Sheri Foltz Brackman |
Sheri Foltz Brackman was born and raised in the Houston area, but has lived in San Angelo, Midland, Kingsville, Austin, Galveston, and now Texas City. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from Texas A&M-Kingsville in 2002. She has worked at UTMB for 6 years, and has spent the last three years in the Microbiology Department working in a Select Agent Lab. She purchased a small house in Texas City recently and enjoys fixing it and making it her home. She had previously served as Congregation Coordinator. Carl Dolezal is a member at Peace Lutheran Church in Texas City. He is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University and currently works as Director of Clinical Information Systems at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He and his wife Sarah recently returned to the Galveston area from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and currently live in Bayou Vista, Texas. Cecelia Cronk grew up on a family farm in Iowa and graduated from Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. One husband and 3 children later she earned her MBAs in Healthcare Administration and Management. I retired in 2009 from being a Dialysis Clinic Administrator in Sacramento, CA.
She has lived in 8 states and over the years, I has served on several Lutheran Church councils as Secretary, President and Worship Board liason. She is currently on the Worship Board at First Lutheran Church in Galveston and also serve as a Teller and Assisting Minister. She recently become an Emergency Response Advocate for the Galveston County Resource and Crisis Center. Her children, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren live on the East Coast and she and her husband enjoy visiting them. Community Service Team Director - Frances Fundling |
Frances Fundling was born in Galveston and "grew up" at First Lutheran Church. She is now a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Texas City where she has been involved in many of the activities of the church. She has also served as a coordinator and an advocate to Thrivent. She is a widow and has four children, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Some of her favorite activities are being a tour guide for The Texas City Museum, playing bridge and dancing (both tap and ballroom). Joan Sisk is a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Texas City. She assists with the Braille work which she has done for about 5 years. She moved to Texas eight years ago and joined Peace at that time. Youth Director - Robin Groeper |
Robin Groeper graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Sciencein Secondary Education in 1989 and has worked in youth ministry for 18 years. She has served at Hope as the Director of Youth Ministries for the past 6 years. She works with youth in grades 6-12 and their families, network with area church youth workers and am an active member of the Bay Area Alliance for Youth and Families which works within the school district to impact drug and alcohol abuse and create a
positive community environment for teens and their families.

|
MaryAnn Waldon served as President of the Galveston County Chapter from 2008-2010. She previously served as the Records Director and has served in many positions previously for Aid Association for Lutherans. Financial Associate Advisor - Jon Meinzen |
|
Jon Meinzen was born and raised in south India, where his parents (and one set of grandparents) were missionaries with the Missouri Evangelical Lutheran India Mission (MELIM) for 46 years. His wife, Jenny, was born outside of Beirut and grew up in Basra, Bahrain, and Kuwait where her parents worked in the Arabian Mission of the Reformed Church of America. Jon served in the Coast Guard at USCG Base Buffalo before he and Jenny moved to the Houston area to get reacquainted with their fingers and toes. They have two children and two grandchildren and too many cats and dogs. Jon began working for AAL (one of Thrivent’s predecessor companies) in 1981.
