Approximately 30 Girl Scouts and troop leaders came together and laid sod, planted flowers around the park monument, weeded and cleaned trails. The weather was great and there were plenty of hot dogs scarfed down. The participants were from Gray Court, Greer, Spartanburg, Laurens, and Clinton. The park has made a lot of progress and this summer, they will be building a pavillion where people can reserve it as much as a year in advance. I was the first person to reserve it and I reserved it for the first Saturday in May 2009, National Join Hands Day. Teresa Foster |
