Our mission statement reads: "Enabling Lutherans to do Charitable outreach in their communities."
As one of over one thousand chapters across the country, Cape Fear River Chapter welcomes the opportunity to help congregational members and neighbors. Congregational events have raised funds for people with special needs and major illnesses. Those events bring the larger community together. It is through caring and sharing that our congregations grow and serve.

Keeping Your Web Site Up To Date... |
For those of you who have regularly visited our web site, you have found it seriously outdated. Your Communications Director had ongoing computer problems from August through December. Although the computer is new, this didn't stop many out-of-the-box problems which culminated with a failed hard drive and, at considerable cost, recovery of our hard drive data.This situation is mentioned, not as an excuse - but as a caution to all. Keep your hard drives backed up regularly. Using online backup facilities should be seriously considered. Although our hard drive had been backed up three weeks prior to its ultimate failure, the data on the backed up hard drive was useless because the computer was not recognizing any hard drives. Had the lost data been stored elsewhere - online - much time and $$ for the recovery would have been saved. When the manufacturer shipped the replacement drive, technical assistance was needed to get it up and running. | |
