2005 Groundbreaking for new addition

"Our churches are falsely accused of abolishing the Mass. Actually, the Mass is retained among us and is celebrated with the greatest reverence."
Tappert, T. G. (2000, c1959). The Augsburg confession : Translated from the Latin (The Confession of Faith: 3, III, 1-2). Philadelphia: Fortress Press.
Centered in Word and Sacrament
Worship centered around Word and sacrament is the heart of parish life here at Trinity. We follow the historical practice of celebrating Holy Communion every week on Sunday morning. Holy Communion is also celebrated during other festival celebrations.

The worship style follows the tradional order for Holy Communion worship, although instrumentation and musical settings vary. We try not to engage in "worship wars" or to divide the congregation between arbitary lines of "contemporary" and "traditional" worship. We see worship as the celebration of the entire church: past, present and future; therefore, we try to plan worship not based upon what is popular or satisfies our personal desires, but by what best conveys the gospel message of Jesus Christ. We try with the best of our musical abilities to be sensitive to the global and historal implications of our worship life, using a variety of musical forms.

CHILDREN ARE ALWAYS WELCOME IN WORSHIP
Children are the future and present of our congregation. We cannot expect them to develop the habit of coming to worship if the message we send to them is that worship is not a place that they should be. It is understood that children act-up from time to time. We would rather have 100 kids screaming than to tell one that they do not belong. If a child is having a particular problem, a nursery and an expanded narthex is available. There is always an adult in the nursery if you wish to leave your child (children) there while you attend the service.
