PRAYER BEFORE WORSHIP

        Almighty and Everlasting God, Dear Heavenly Father, You permit us to enter into the fellowship of that holy suffering by which Your dear Son, Jesus Christ, conquered sin, death, and the power of the devil. Grant that we may celebrate the remembrance of the passion of Jesus Christ with true devotion, accept the cross as His disciples, and endure by the Power of Your Holy Spirit, unto life everlasting; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord. Amen.

        TODAY at 4 PM, Faith Lutheran Church in Gering is having a service of celebration on behalf of Pastor Ralph C. Morris' 25th Ordination Anniversary. A worship service will be held with Rev. Dr. William (Bill) Morris being the guest preacher. (Pastor Bill Morris is a son to Ralph and Pat.) The service will be followed with a dinner reception at the church. Pastor Ralph Morris ministered to many people from this area as he served as Hospital Chaplain for Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

         If there is an emergency while Pastor is on vacation, please call one of the Elders. They will be able to get in touch with him. May God be with you! Pastor returns July 1st.

         Time is running short to register for Beaver Valley Lutheran Camp coming up in July. July 13-18 will be camp week for those entering 4th, 5th and 6th grades next fall. The second week, July 20-25, is for those entering 7th and 8th grades. The third week, July 27-Aug. 1, is for those entering 9th-12th grades. See Pastor for registration forms. As in years past, we need male and female counselors for this camp! Counselors need to be at least 21 years old. You get to stay out at the camp and be part of the whole experience! It is necessary that we participate to keep the camp going for future generations! Pray that God will enable you to contribute in some way! It is a blessing to have the camp so close! Thank You!

        There will be NO Council Meeting in the month of July.

        There will be a carry-in dinner at 12 noon and a Voter's Meeting at 1 PM at St. Paul the first Sunday in August, which is August 3, to discuss a change to the Constitution and Bylaws of St. Paul. Please plan on attending this important meeting!
